All rates are $89/day sedan, $109/day SUV, $139/day minibus — same for every driver. The difference is the person.
How Jing picks a driver.
Hoi An has a lot of drivers, and almost all of them can drive. That's the easy part. The part that matters — the part we hire for — is whether your four-year-old will remember their name six months later. There is no scoring system for that, so this is just what Jing actually does before someone drives for us.
A real English conversation.
Not a test. A conversation. We sit down for thirty minutes and talk about their favourite dish, their family, what they'd do on their own day off. If we can't laugh with them, neither will you.
A valid licence, real insurance, and a car we've been in.
Checked before they take a booking — the licence, the vehicle papers, the passenger insurance, and a drive with Jing in the passenger seat.
A proper wage, paid by us.
Our drivers are salaried for the day, so nothing about your itinerary changes what they earn. They're free to tell you the place around the corner is better — and that's usually where you end up.
Time with the others before time with you.
Hoi An's driving community is small and everyone knows everyone. A new driver rides along with Minh, Hùng or Tuấn first, and if they say no, it's no.
We don't hire tour guides. We hire people you'd want to eat lunch with. The rest follows.
