Is sunrise really worth the 4:45am pickup?
Yes. Arriving at 6am means around 20 other visitors instead of 600, 24°C instead of 35°C, and soft light for photos.
Do I need a guide?
Not strictly — the info plaques are in English at every group. A licensed guide brings the Cham history alive; we can add one for $20.
Can we combine with Tra Que herb village?
Easy add-on on the way back. Ask your driver in the morning, he'll detour.
