VinWonders Nam Hoi An 2026: Ticket Prices, the 17 km Coast Road South, and the Hours That Quietly Decide Your Day

There is one headline attraction on every Hội An family shortlist that is not in Hội An, and the distinction decides the whole day. You cannot cycle to VinWonders Nam Hội An. You cannot walk out at three in the afternoon, when a six-year-old has finished with the world, and be back at your room in ten minutes. It sits seventeen kilometres south of the Old Town on open Quảng Nam coast, and from the moment you decide to go it is a vehicle question. Here is the day as we drive it: the road, the gate price, and the clock inside the park that most people discover at four in the afternoon.

What is VinWonders Nam Hội An, and where exactly does it sit?

It opened on 28 April 2018 as Vinpearl Land Nam Hội An and now trades as VinWonders Nam Hội An: more than 62.4 hectares on the dune coast between the Old Town and Tam Kỳ, in five themed zones — Bến cảng Giao thoa (Harbour of Exchange), Đảo Văn hóa dân gian (Folk Culture Island), River Safari, Vùng đất phiêu lưu (Adventure Land) and Thế giới nước (Water World).

The address is đường Võ Chí Công, and it has changed on paper without moving an inch. It was xã Bình Minh, huyện Thăng Bình, tỉnh Quảng Nam. Since 1 July 2025, under Nghị quyết 1659/NQ-UBTVQH15, Bình Minh was merged with Bình Triều, Bình Giang, Bình Đào and Bình Dương into a new xã Thăng An — 80.98 km², around 51,900 people — inside Đà Nẵng city. Older maps and tickets still find the gate. Only the letterhead moved.

How far is it, and what road do you actually take?

From the Old Town you leave east, cross cầu Cửa Đại, and turn south onto đường Võ Chí Công, the coastal road running past Bình Minh toward Tam Kỳ and Chu Lai. It is 15 to 17 km, 25 to 30 minutes, and one of the easiest stretches of tarmac in the region: wide, modern, dune scrub and casuarina on the seaward side, almost no traffic before nine.

From central Đà Nẵng it is roughly 45 km and an hour to an hour and ten, down the beach road onto the same coast highway. From Đà Nẵng airport, allow about 50 km and a full hour — worth knowing, because families regularly try to make the park work on an arrival day. It works only if the flight lands before mid-morning; otherwise you pay a full-day ticket for four tired hours.

Drop-off is at the main gate car park, a short walk from the turnstile. The walking that defines your day starts on the far side of it.

What does a ticket cost in 2026?

Standard entry is posted at around 650,000 VND for adults — anyone over 140 cm — and 450,000 VND for children between 100 and 140 cm and for seniors: roughly 25 USD and 17 USD. Children under 100 cm enter free, the most useful number here for anyone travelling with a toddler.

A reduced late-entry ticket is sold at roughly 450,000 VND adult and 340,000 VND child, about 17 and 13 USD. The cutoff is where sources disagree — it has been posted at both 14:00 and 15:00 depending on the season — so confirm the hour before planning around it.

One ticket covers all five zones, the shows and the River Safari boat; there is no separate fare for the river loop, which is the question we get asked most. Extras inside, such as animal feeding and photo interactions, are sold separately, and online purchases routinely beat the gate price.

Which zones actually eat the day?

River Safari is the one nothing else in Vietnam has: a wildlife area laid out along a river and toured by boat. The loop runs about 1.4 km in roughly 15 minutes, past a collection park material puts at around 500 animals of some 50 species — Bengal tigers, sun bears, African lions, a great many birds. It works as a conservation facility as well as an attraction; Báo Quảng Nam has reported rare wild animals permanently transferred into its care. A bird show runs daily, commonly at 09:45 and 14:00.

Thế giới nước is the zone people forget to pack for: a full water park with slides and a wave pool, and every year we collect families who left the swimwear in a wardrobe in Hội An. Vùng đất phiêu lưu holds the mechanical rides, all with minimum height and weight requirements posted at each entrance — measure your child before you promise them anything.

Đảo Văn hóa dân gian is the quiet surprise, and the reason this is not simply a theme park with a Vietnamese address. Its programme carries genuine intangible heritage: múa rối nước water puppetry, chầu văn of the Việt, hát then of the Tày, Nùng and Thái. A stage show, Sailing Home, has run Friday to Sunday at 10:30 and 18:15, with a 3D mapping piece on Saturday and Sunday evenings around 18:30. Treat every one of those times as seasonal: read the board at the gate and build the day around what it says today.

Bến cảng Giao thoa is the arrival zone, largely covered, its architecture nodding to the trading-port Hội An that made this coast rich in the first place.

When should you leave, and what running order works?

Gates are posted 09:00 to 19:00, extending to 20:00 on public holidays and Tết. But the clock that governs a good day is the other one: River Safari stops boarding hours before closing — around 16:30 in park material.

So the order is fixed by that, not by taste. Leave Hội An at 08:15 to 08:30. Be at the gate for opening and do River Safari first, while the animals are moving in the cool and the boat queue is nothing. Take the water park through the middle of the day. Keep the folk island and the covered harbour zone for the late afternoon, when the shows run. Families who invert this — water park first, safari "later" — are the ones standing at a closed jetty at 16:45. Budget six to eight hours inside; from Đà Nẵng, shift everything thirty to forty minutes earlier.

Does it work in the rain months?

Partly, and it is worth being straight about it. Central Vietnam's wet months run September to December, and this park faces the sky. In ordinary rain it stays open and the covered zones and folk performances carry the day; in genuine storm weather the outdoor rides suspend, and a wave pool in a November downpour is a hard sell.

So keep this day movable through October and November. If a bright morning appears, take it; if the forecast is filthy, swap to the Old Town or the Marble Mountains and hold the park for the next clear window.

Shuttle bus or car — what is the real difference?

A free shuttle does run, from fixed points in Đà Nẵng along Võ Nguyên Giáp and Nguyễn Văn Thoại and from pickup points in Hội An. It requires registration the day before, and its timetable shifts with the season.

What it costs is not money, it is the two ends of the day. The shuttle decides when you arrive and, more to the point, when you leave — and the leaving is the part that matters with children, who finish without notice. A car waiting means you arrive at opening for the empty safari boat and go home when the smallest person in the group has had enough, child seats already fitted.

What else is on that road?

Bãi biển Bình Minh sits at the park's shoulder, a working fishing beach rather than a resort strip. On the way home, An Bàng and Cửa Đại are minutes off the route for a late swim or an early dinner, and the mural village of Tam Thanh lies roughly 40 km further south near Tam Kỳ.
