Mikazuki Water Park 365 Da Nang 2026: The Heated Indoor Day on the Xuân Thiều Coast

A Japanese-built water park with a heated indoor dome and a real onsen, 10 km north of Đà Nẵng airport on the Xuân Thiều coast. The 365 in the name is the point - this is the one big water day in Đà Nẵng that a November sky cannot cancel. Drive times from Hội An, what the 2026 ticket actually covers, when the outdoor side shuts, and where the car waits.

Every November we have the same conversation in the car somewhere around Điện Ngọc. It has rained for three days, the children have been patient about ancient houses, and someone asks whether there is anything to do in water here that is not the sea.

There is one answer at scale, and it sits 10 km northwest of Đà Nẵng airport, on a stretch of bay coast most visitors never drive.

What is Mikazuki Water Park 365, and what does the 365 mean?

Mikazuki Water Park 365 sits inside the Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts and Spa complex at Khu du lịch Xuân Thiều on Nguyễn Tất Thành, the coastal road running northwest out of the city toward Hải Vân. The hotel beside it opened 1 June 2022, on a site Vietnamese coverage puts at about 13 hectares.

The 365 is a claim about the calendar, and it is the reason this article exists. The headline attractions sit under a dome, and the park's own listing says the indoor rides are heated in winter. In a city whose wet season runs from September into December, that is the difference between a plan and a cancellation.

What is indoors, per the park's own description: a wave pool, the Dragon River, a high-speed slide, the Dragon slide, and a children's pool. Outdoors: a pirate ship, Fuji Lake, Fuji River and a musical fountain. And the part that makes it unlike other water parks here - an onsen hot mineral bath with a Japanese sauna, which the standard ticket is described as including.

Where exactly is it, and how far from Hội An?

Door to door, from the seat:

  • Hội An Old Town: 42 to 46 km, 65 to 80 minutes. The number is high for the distance because you do not skirt Đà Nẵng on this one, you cross it.
  • Đà Nẵng International Airport: 9 to 10 km, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Mỹ Khê and the Võ Nguyên Giáp beach hotels: 13 to 15 km, 25 to 35 minutes.
  • Ga Đà Nẵng, the railway station: 8 to 9 km, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Nam Ô fish sauce village: 3 to 4 km. Seven minutes.
  • The Hải Vân tunnel south portal: about 8 km.

On the address: older listings give phường Hòa Hiệp Nam, quận Liên Chiểu, newer ones phường Hải Vân after the 2025 ward restructure. The ward field is the unreliable part. Khu du lịch Xuân Thiều, Nguyễn Tất Thành is the part every driver here already knows.

What does a 2026 ticket cost, and what does it cover?

The Đà Nẵng city tourism portal publishes a price page, last updated 14 April 2026:

  • Weekday adult: roughly 350,000 to 430,000 VND - about USD 13 to 16.50 at around 26,000 đồng to the dollar.
  • Weekend and holiday adult: roughly 400,000 to 480,000 VND, about USD 15 to 18.50.
  • Children 1 m to under 1.4 m, and senior guests: roughly 170,000 to 275,000 VND.
  • Children under 1 m: listed free. Under 1.4 m must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Meal combos: lunch from about 590,000 VND on a weekday and 770,000 VND at a weekend; dinner sets around 780,000 to 830,000 VND; a Japanese hotpot combo around 930,000 to 950,000 VND.

Two caveats. The standard ticket is described as covering the indoor park, the outdoor park, the onsen and the sauna, but separate onsen and private-bath packages exist, and some resellers publish a foreign-visitor rate we cannot confirm - treat the portal figures as the planning number and the gate as final. And counter tickets are generally non-refundable and non-date-changeable, which on a wet-season day argues for buying at the gate.

What time should you arrive, and when does it really close?

The park's own site gives 09.00 to 19.00 daily. Third-party listings give 08.00 to 22.00, which is almost certainly the late-evening facilities reserved for in-house resort guests; one notes the outdoor zone closing earlier, around 18.00.

So the day's working shape is 09.00 to 18.00, and the front half is the better half. Arrive at opening, take the outdoor lake and the pirate ship while the morning is dry - mornings are the dry window here far more often than afternoons - then move indoors when the sky closes, and finish in the onsen around 16.00.

To be at the gate for 09.00, leave Hội An at 07.40. From a Mỹ Khê hotel, 08.25. From the airport on an arrival day, you can be in the water within half an hour of clearing the terminal - a genuinely useful fact about this place.

What about the onsen, practically?

The city tourism portal writes about it as an imported wellness practice, not a pool with a heater. Expect the usual architecture: lockers, a wash-down before you enter the water, posted rules, separate areas. We will not print an etiquette list we cannot source; the park's posted rules are what apply on the day. An onsen in late November, with the northeast wind working on the bay outside, beats an onsen in July.

Where does the car go, and what does your driver do for six hours?

Into the complex gate, where there is proper parking - no pedestrian zone, no riverside bollards, no Old Town walk-in. One of the easier stops in the region.

The road asks for one piece of discipline. Nguyễn Tất Thành is a fast two-way coastal boulevard, and the shoulder is not a drop-off. Nor is the Việt Nam - Nhật Bản friendship footbridge over it, inaugurated 1 July 2023 at a reported 42 billion VND, built for the 50th anniversary of Việt Nam - Japan diplomatic relations and handed to the city by Mikazuki. Việt Nam News called it the first and only safe pedestrian crossing at this beach. It is how you walk to the sand, not how you arrive.

Six hours is a long wait: on a quoted day your driver stays with the car, and that waiting is part of what you booked. If your party splits - two adults in the onsen, one taking a toddler back early - say so when the trip is quoted, not at 14.00 in the car park.

What can you stack on the same road?

Xuân Thiều sits on the Hải Vân side of Đà Nẵng, which makes the water park a first stop rather than a dead end.

  • Nam Ô fish sauce village, four kilometres on, for the nước mắm barrels and the reef at the river mouth.
  • The Hải Vân Pass, whose southern climb begins about 8 km up the same road. A clear afternoon after a wet morning is exactly when the pass is worth it.
  • Lăng Cô and Lập An lagoon, roughly 35 km north, if the park is the morning of a Huế transfer rather than a day of its own - children swum out by noon, luggage in the car, Huế by evening. That is the single best use of this place.

It also pairs with an airport day better than anything else in the city, at 15 to 20 minutes from the terminal.

Is it worth the drive from Hội An?

In July, probably not. You have An Bàng and Cửa Đại at the end of your own lane.

In November and December, when the sea is grey and shut and the Old Town has been walked twice, the answer changes. A heated dome, a wave pool, a long indoor slide and a hot mineral bath, 70 minutes up the road, is the best wet-weather day for children this region currently has - and one of the few attractions here that gets better as the weather gets worse.

Vietnamese business press has reported a second phase at Xuân Thiều: a roughly USD 50 million night-market and entertainment quarter beside the resort. None of it is open, so plan nothing around it.

If you want this one driven as a rain-season day - early start from Hội An, the dome while it pours, Nam Ô and the pass if it clears - tell us the dates at hoiandriver.com/quote. A real driver prices it in USD, a 10% non-refundable deposit books it and holds your driver and your dates, and the balance is paid at trip end.

good questions

What is Mikazuki Water Park 365 in Da Nang?
A Japanese-built water park inside the Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts and Spa complex at Khu du lịch Xuân Thiều on Nguyễn Tất Thành, on the Đà Nẵng bay coast northwest of the city. It has an indoor water park under a dome, an outdoor water park, and an onsen hot mineral bath with a Japanese sauna. The hotel beside it opened on 1 June 2022.
What are the opening hours?
The park's own site gives 09.00 to 19.00 daily. Third-party listings circulate 08.00 to 22.00 and 09.00 to 22.00, and the later closes appear to belong to facilities reserved for guests staying at the resort. One listing notes the outdoor zone winding down earlier, around 18.00, for safety. Plan your day around 09.00 to 18.00 and treat anything after that as a bonus.
How much is a ticket in 2026?
The Đà Nẵng city tourism portal's price page, updated 14 April 2026, gives roughly 350,000 to 430,000 VND for an adult on weekdays and 400,000 to 480,000 VND at weekends and holidays - about USD 13 to 18 at around 26,000 đồng to the dollar. Children between 1 m and 1.4 m and senior guests run roughly 170,000 to 275,000 VND. Children under 1 m are listed free. Resellers quote their own numbers, so confirm before you drive.
Is the onsen included in the water park ticket?
The standard ticket is described as covering the indoor water park, the outdoor water park, the onsen hot mineral bath and the Japanese sauna. Separate onsen-only and private-area packages are also sold. The park's own published rules are the ones that count at the counter on the day.
How far is Mikazuki from Hoi An?
About 42 to 46 km and 65 to 80 minutes, because you cross Đà Nẵng rather than skirt it. From Đà Nẵng International Airport it is roughly 9 to 10 km and 15 to 20 minutes. From a Mỹ Khê hotel, 13 to 15 km and 25 to 35 minutes.
Is it worth going in November or December?
This is the one big water attraction in the region built to work in the rain months. The indoor park is heated in winter, and the onsen is better in cool weather than in July. What a wet northeast wind takes away is the outdoor side - Fuji Lake, Fuji River, the pirate ship. Buy the day for the dome and treat sunshine as a gift.
Where does the car drop you, and can it wait?
Inside the complex gate off Nguyễn Tất Thành, which has its own parking. Nguyễn Tất Thành is a fast coastal boulevard and the shoulder is not a drop-off point. The Việt Nam - Nhật Bản friendship footbridge over the road, opened 1 July 2023, is the safe way to cross to the beach on foot, not an entrance.
What address should I give a driver?
Say Khu du lịch Xuân Thiều, Nguyễn Tất Thành. Older listings give Hòa Hiệp Nam ward in Liên Chiểu district, and some newer ones give phường Hải Vân after the 2025 ward restructure, so the ward name is the least reliable part of the address. The Xuân Thiều landmark is not.
