- Full-day charter (car + English-speaking driver, ~8 hours, fuel/tolls/parking/water included) typically starts around $89 per car.
- No deposit and no card: booking takes nothing up front and the whole total is paid to the driver at the end of the trip. There is no price list — every trip is quoted for what it actually is.
- Hoi An Ancient Town visitor fee: 20,000 VND per person per heritage building entered, and My Son Sanctuary 40,000 VND per person, applied identically to Vietnamese and foreign visitors under Da Nang People's Council Resolution 98/2026/NQ-HĐND, in force 10 August 2026. Both replaced the older 120,000 VND and 250,000 VND tickets that most English pages still quote.
- Cu Lao Cham (Cham Island) reserve fee is separate, 70,000 VND per person per visit, and speedboats from Cua Dai run reliably only about March to August.
- Quang Nam province no longer exists: it merged into Da Nang city in 2025, so Hoi An, My Son and Cu Lao Cham fees are now set by the Da Nang People's Council.

For Australian travellers specifically (our largest English-speaking market):
- Australians fly non-stop to Da Nang (DAD) from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth on VietJet, roughly 11.5 hours, so they arrive at DAD itself rather than connecting through Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.
- Prices are quoted in US dollars. At early-September 2026 rates, a Da Nang-Hoi An transfer of about US$35 is roughly A$49, and a full day charter from about US$89 is roughly A$125.
- The mid-year school break (June and July) is Hoi An's driest stretch and also its hottest: Da Nang averages a 35C daily maximum in June. The September-October break is far cooler but the wettest window of the year, with October averaging 650mm of rain, and the typhoon season runs from early September to about 10 December. March and April are the easiest months for families: 28-31C and 20-35mm of rain.
- Hoi An is 3 hours behind Australian Eastern Standard Time, so an enquiry sent after dinner in Sydney or Melbourne arrives in the early evening in Hoi An. We do not promise a reply time.
